Weather Policy

overview

In the event of inclement weather, Achieve Lacrosse events may be delayed, shortened, cancelled, or adjusted as needed.  If there is extreme weather, Achieve Lacrosse staff will consult with officials, site personnel, trainers, other coaches, and such other resources as they deem appropriate to determine the best course of action.  At all times, such decisions will be made with the goal of ensuring the health, safety and welfare of players, their families, spectators, and coaches.  Only Achieve Lacrosse directors or staff management will have the authority to make final decisions on how an event will proceed in the event of inclement weather.

Notice of any changes or cancellations due to weather will be provided on our website (achievelax.com), posted on Twitter or Instagram and any other methods designed to keep teams, players and coaches updated.  Team coaches or on-site representatives should also seek out the tournament director, event staff management or Achieve Lacrosse directors for updated information.

There are no refunds for cancellation, delays or shortening of tournaments due to extreme weather conditions and there may be no make-up or rescheduling of games or tournaments under such circumstances.

Achieve Lacrosse training programs, camps, leagues, or indoor tournaments will not be canceled in the event of inclement weather UNLESS the facility has closed, or fields have been deemed unsafe or unplayable. We do always ask that you use your own discretion when traveling as safety is paramount.  Programs will not be refunded or rescheduled if canceled due to weather.

Inclement Weather is out of the control of the tournament directors and officials. In the event of thunder and/or lightening, all games will be suspended for no less than 20 minutes. Games will resume, in real time, at least 30 minutes after the last occurrence of thunder or lightening. Canceled games may not be rescheduled. If weather disrupts scheduled games, the tournament director will make every effort (and possesses the sole authority) to adjust the schedule as needed, including shortening games, adjusting the schedule, etc. It is up to the tournament director and officials to decide if the field and weather conditions are suitable for games to resume.
