COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be enhanced health and safety guidelines that participants in Achievelax training programs must adhere to.  We have modified the age groups and schedule to reduce the number of participants in order to reinforce social distancing.  Click here to view our COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines. Below are a few of the guidelines:

Arrival at the facility:

  • All training sessions/events will adhere to facility capacity limits as specified by facility management.
  • Children and parents must wear face coverings at all times while inside the facility
  • Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will be available for participants; players will be expected to sanitize upon entry on to the field
  • Social distancing must be observed when waiting to check-in or waiting to take the field
  • Drop off at the designated entrance, pick up at the designated exit.
  • NO spectators are allowed; ONLY players and coaches will be allowed on the field and inside the facility
    • Parents can drop players off and then must leave once the session has begun.
  • Backpacks are not allowed inside the facility. Players are expected to come dressed and ready for the session with all appropriate equipment and a water bottle/sports drink.  Sling packs or a small shoulder bag/tote (such as a reusable lunch tote) are acceptable.
  • Players may not congregate before or after the session
  • Carpooling is not recommended

During training:

  • Face coverings:
    • Participants (players, coaches, and other staff) will be expected to wear face coverings at all times.  Face coverings will be required when inside the facility and on the playing field whenever social distancing is not possible. Disposable masks, cloth face coverings and gaiters are all acceptable.
    • “Mask breaks” will occur frequently. A participant can take off their face covering at a point during the session when they are at least 6ft away from another.
    • We will utilize space outdoors whenever possible and weather permits.
    • A participant who has a medical condition or disability such that wearing a face covering is not recommended, may not be required to wear a face covering upon providing documentation from a physician.
  • Players are expected to maintain social distance on the sidelines, in the substitution area/box and during halftime.
  • Handshakes, fist bumps are not permitted; sportsmanship is expected

REGISTRATION REMINDER

**Achieve Lacrosse is now opening registrations for Leagues and Gear Up programs that are scheduled to begin in January.  The past year has been very challenging for all due to COVID restrictions and the guidelines imposed on youth and high school sports programs. We are grateful that we have been able to offer our athletes play opportunities over the SUMMER and fall seasons.

Indoor field rentals have been secured for the coming months.  There are unrecoverable expenses associated with these commitments but we remain optimistic that we will be able to operate our programs. We will continue to closely monitor state and local guidelines related to the safe operation of indoor play. Inevitably state guidelines and facility operators will dictate our ability to host this session of Leagues and Gear Up programs.

Please keep in mind, when registering for winter events, we reserve the right to move/ modify the schedule according to facility availability and permitted use during these unprecedented times. Only if/ when we have exhausted all possible move/ make up opportunities we will offer all registrants a Achieve Lacrosse site credit to be used towards future registrations.  In the event of any state mandated closure with parameters that extend beyond a reasonable program start date we will offer all registrants a site credit to be used towards future Achieve Lacrosse events and programs.

FALL GEAR UP

Achievelax’s “Fall-Ball” program is designed to enhance the athlete’s skill development, strength and conditioning.  Participants of Fall Gear Up recognize that they must commit themselves to year-round skill building and conditioning in order to Achieve success on the field in the spring.  Fall Gear Up, structured similarly to Winter and Pre-Season Gear Up, challenges the athlete with fast-paced, high-intensity drills, small-sided and full-field games, and demanding fitness training!

Individualized Goal Keeper training will be provided during Gear Up sessions.  The focus over the 6 week program will include: proper warm up technique, footwork, shot stopping mechanics, positioning & angles, clearing, out-of-crease play and on-field vocal communication. Coaching of all skills will come in 1v1 instruction, small group instruction, small-sided drills and live play.

*NEW* for 2020: Fall Gear Up will take place outside at Union Point Sports Complex in Weymouth, MA!

WINTER GEAR UP

An intense fitness and lacrosse training program for high school athletes who want to get a head start preparing for the spring lacrosse seasons.  Winter Gear Up follows a strength and conditioning builder which starts out fairly conservative and gradually grows in difficulty with each session.  Similar to the fitness, the skills training begins with low impact stick skills and small-sided games and progresses to full field drills that are very competitive and require executing skills at game like speed.  The athletes that participate in Gear Up are motivated; the level of competition sores when top lacrosse players come together on the same field.  This highly-competitive program challenges players to execute under intense pressure, at a very fast pace.

This program is full and we are currently accepting a waiting list.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made some adjustments to the typical Winter Gear Up schedule in order to adhere to state guidelines, limit the number of participants on a field and enforce social distancing.  Additional health and safety guidelines will be posted shortly!

PRE-SEASON GEAR UP

Please note that this program will fill and close!  Please register early as registration is often closed by January 15!

Pre-Season Gear Up is a program designed specifically to prepare players for their high school tryouts.  It is known to all high school lacrosse players for intense strength and conditioning and fast-paced, competitive drills.  Players who participate in Gear Up generally sign up year after year as they have seen the results of Gear Up pay off during their high school tryouts.  Gear Up will excite and challenge players!  After surviving three weeks of “boot camp,” players will be empowered, prepared and confident that they will Achieve success on the field!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made some adjustments to the typical Pre-Season Gear Up schedule in order to adhere to state guidelines, limit the number of participants on a field and enforce social distancing.  Additional health and safety guidelines will be posted shortly!
